Mystery of Dawn Church
Level Design

This project focuses on designing an indoor level that offers players a unique and immersive experience through carefully crafted spatial layouts, interactive challenges, and environmental storytelling. My design style emphasizes aesthetics and player experience, striving to create a visually striking yet logically cohesive level.

In this project, you’ll see how I incorporate guided thinking into level design, balancing aesthetics with interactivity to ensure players remain motivated to explore.

Block Out

Barrier

It was a method used to block the player’s path.

Left Room

It's a room where every layout element is designed to place a chest containing the key in the innermost corner.

Pillar-special route

A player can walk above to bypass the column obstacles below.

Hero Asserts

There will be a hero asset here, which can be seen on the second floor when the player is at the entrance, and the player is guided to that place.

Door Status

The doors here are in different states. The door leading to the second-floor rooms is usually open or partially open, allowing players to enter. Meanwhile, the doors leading to the second-floor hallway are typically locked, guiding players to nearby rooms to search for the key.
